Title: Assessment of the relationship between knee joint, lumbar spine and pelvis in people with hemophilia.Introduction: Spontaneous bleedings are a clinical picture of hemophilia. Intraartricular bleedings lead to hemophilic arthropathy. Flexion contracture in the knee joint is the cause of postural changes.Aim: To determine the relationship between flexion contracture in the knee joint, hip joint postition, pelvic parameters (PI, PT, SS) and angular value of lumbar lordosis (LL), in the sagittal plane, in people with haemophilia.Material and methods: The study included a group of 23 men with hemophilia who had a knee joint flexion contracture > 5 °. The study was carried out by means of a diagnostic survey as well as based on a clinical trial.Results: There was a correlation between flexion contracture in the knee joint and hip joint positioning: (r = 0.94, p <0.001), between pelvic parameters: SS and PI (r = 0.602, p <0.001) and PT and PI (r = 0.757, p <0.001) as well as between the pelvic parameters and lumbar lordosis: PI and LL (r = 0.502, p <00.5) and SS and LL (r = 0.467, p <0.05). Interaction analysis showed a significant simultaneous impact of knee flexion contracture and hip joint positioning in the case of the SS parameter.Conclusions: The flexion contracture in the knee joint was strongly related to the position of the hip joint in the flexion position. There was ; no correlation between the flexion of the hip joint and pelvic position or the value of lumbar spine curvature. The simultaneous influence of knee flexion contracture and hip joint positioning was observed in the case of SS values.
