Praca doktorska
The main aim of this study was to develop a procedure for chemical and toxicological analysis of amphetamines in blood samples and its verification in toxicology practice in groups of 40 alive cases and 46 autopsy cases. In the theoretical part of the thesis the general characteristics of amphetamines, especially in the analytical and forensic aspects, were presented. The developed and validated procedure for analytical determination of amphetamines in the blood was described in the experimental part. The method was applied in the two groups of cases. In the group of alive cases the obtained results allowed for interpretation of psychomotor state of the drivers for judicial purposes. In the second research group interpretation of the results of toxicological analysis contributed to determine direct cause of death due to acute poisoning or indirect cause of death as a result of risky activities of people under the influence of amphetamines. In this paper, the problem of issuing medico-legal opinions in the aspect of amphetamine was shown by presenting content of a selected opinions for medico-legal purposes.
