Tytuł: Security and data protection in the information system of health care
Abstrakt:
My doctoral dissertation was written In the Institute of Public Heath, Collegium Medium at the Jagiellonian University. The title is "Security and data protection in the information system of health care". Enormous amount of data and information are being transformed in the information system of health care. A big part of these data are personal data and information about patients' health conditions - sensitive data and confidential data. All these data have to be secured in a right way from damage, lost and giving unauthorized receivers. The usage of computer techniques, electronic documents and teletransmission increased security and confidentiality of data. Existing solutions that have to secure data in health care system are absolutely inadequate and not enough for the amount of data transformed as well as technological development of our country. The aim of my PhD was: I. to analyse the security and confidentiality system of data accumulated in Polish health care sector. It is focused not only on present status, but also on possible changes that can be done in this sector in the nearest future. 2. to verify new technologies, especially security and confidentiality of transforming data and information and the usage of these technology es in trans forming medical data; proposition of usage electronic documents in the information system of health care as well as defining t ; he conditions of law, organization and technology is needed to define the introduction of the electronic document. 3. Defining the complex conditions of model of security and confidentiality data in the information system of health care.
