Praca doktorska
The subject of the doctoral dissertation is revision surgery in the surgical treatment of obesity. Its main goals are analyses of treatment results, factors influencing weight loss, remission of comorbidities and the risk of complications in patients after bariatric revision surgery. The results are based on a retrospective, multi-center observational study PROSS (Polish Revision Obesity Surgery Study), conducted in 12 referral centers in Poland in the years 2010-2020, that included 799 patients after bariatric revision surgery with at least one year of follow-up. The assessed endpoints were the percentage loss of excess body weight, remission of type 2 diabetes and/or hypertension and the occurrence of postoperative complications. The dissertation takes the form of a series of three papers published in scientific journals with a total IF of 10.6 and a MNiSW score of 340 points.
