Abstract:

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the changes made to the curriculum in terms of non-technical competencies for medical students. In addition, the level of students' self-assessment of non-technical competence and their evaluations of the quality and effectiveness of non-technical competence classes were analyzed. A total of 220 sixth-year medical students from the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Poland participated in the study. The students were divided into two study groups: I in 2018 and II in 2019. The groups differed in the number of non-technical competence classes: in 2018. The evaluation was carried out by trained instructors during the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) using standardized assessment sheets. In 2019, students were given questionnaires containing 34 questions on the self-assessment of non-technical competencies and the evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of teaching activities. doktorat
