Abstrakt:

The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of educational activities carried out by a pharmacist in patients suffering from hypertension(HT) and assessment of the usefulness of the selected methods and educational tools.The study was conducted as a pre-test - post-test, the level of knowledge, skills and health behaviors before the study was a point of reference to the state after education, and at the 6-month period after education. Topics included education about hypertension, the general rules the use of drugs, pharmacotherapy of the patient. Education of all patients was carried out individually, in oral form as well as using educational leaflets. %. The correctness of measurement SBPM increased after education to 87%. This result was higher by more than 25% over the result before education. Half a year after education correctness was about 81%Increasing trend in the level of knowledge the education and decreased after a long period, but not lower than before the education, is also to test checking knowledge of HT, SBPM, and the rules of drug use. The individualized health education carried out by a pharmacist in the form of oral and written, effectively increases the level of knowledge and skills of patients. It is necessary to regularly repeat the education, due to the decrease in over time, the level of knowledge and skills learned.
