Title: Selected determinants of health behaviors of patients with increased risk of perioperative myocardial ischemia
Abstract:
Introduction: Certain factors associated with the circulatory system disorders and their conditioning must be taken into consideration when examining patients with the higher risk of myocardial ischemia.Objective: The recognition of selected health behaviours and their conditionings in people with the higher risk of myocardial ischemia as well as among the healthy ones.Material and methods: A retrospective research, based on a survey. Eighty people with the risk of myocardial ischemia were thoroughly examined after the treatment; so were eighty healthy people.Results: Within the investigated group appeared somewhat undesired health behaviours, which may increase the risk of myocardial ischemia (Sten score IZZ 6.68 ± 2.20. proper eating habits 3.39 ± 0.97, preventive behaviours 3.74 ± 0.80, positive mental attitude 3.85 ± 0.75, health habits 3.63 ± 0.87) There is lack of A type dominance within this group. The correlation between health control placement and health behaviours. Life satisfaction was positively linked to health behaviours, with the exception of health habits. Socio-demographic variablesheavily affect health behaviours and their conditioningConclusions: Within the study group occurred minor unwanted health behaviours which might increase the risk of myocardial ischemia. People who display higher life satisfaction tend to be more concerned with their overall health. ; Socio- demographic variables affected pro - healthy lifestyle. People from the study group were more preoccupied with their general wellbeing.
