Tytuł: The role of regular, supervised physical activity on inflammatory markers in blood from prehypertensive patients
Abstrakt:
Prehypertension is a risk factor for development of hypertension (HT). In the HT key element is endothelial dysfunction. Oxidative stress and inflammation have the greatest impact on it. Regular physical activity improves endothelial function and reduces blood pressure. This can be effective prevention of HT in prehypertensive patients.The aim of the project was to find out what is the impact of regular exercise on the characteristics of peripheral blood leukocytes in prehypertensive patients. The study recruited 26 healthy, prehyepretensive patients. Participants were subjected to the 3-month training (3 times / week) and 10 months thereafter proceeded to the control period (previous life style). Blood samples from patients were analyzed. Basic subpopulations of T cell activation markers and their ability to produce cytokines; subpopulations of monocytes and the expression of adhesion molecules were analized.The results indicate that three months, regular exercise did not affect the basic subpopulation of T cells and monocytes as well as their ability to produce cytokines. Exercise resulted in a decrease in expression of early activation marker in a population of CD4-CD8. In all subpopulations of monocytes increased expression of adhesion markers CD11 b and CD11c was observed.Conclusion: Regular physical activity has minimal regulatory effect on the tested parameters of the im ; mune system in prehypertensive people.
