The study included 95 patients operated on from 2006 to 2011. It comprised physical examination, evaluation of disease progress and Total Loss of Extension, hand’s function reduction by Swansons method, and DASH, PEM, HFS and HDPRQ questionnaires to evaluate hand’s function before surgery and 3 and 12 months afterwards. Statistical dependence was found between contracture degree, number of reasons for seeking advice and risk factors, and subjective evaluation of hand’s function. Surgery reduced TLE from 144,07º to 19,29º and improved hand’s functions (Swanson) from 94,76% to 98,37%. Dupuytren contracture impact on subjective evaluation of hand’s function and its improvement after surgery was found. Examination of Dupuytren contracture impact on mental state and relation between life quality and impact on mental state evaluation proved statistical dependence. Surgery improves life quality and mental state. PEM questionnaire is the most appropriate tool for evaluation of life quality.
