Title: Evaluation of the way of delivery in patients after childbirthby caesarean section

Abstrakt:

Aim: The analysis of the way of childbirth in women who deliveredbefore by cesarean section and obstetricians and neonatal morbiditiesconnected with the delivery after cesarean section in the maternitygynecologicalward of the second stage of referentiality.Material and Methods: The retrospective study included 511 women,aged 18 to 43 years, who gave birth in obstetrics and gynecology ward atDistrict Hospital in Wadowice in the period from January 1999 toDecember 2003. In the past all patients had one or more cesareansections. Medical data including mother and newborn history of thedisease, pregnancy card and anesthesiology documentation were studied.Results: Pregnant women who had before cesarean delivery due to thelack of progress of labor or fetal-maternal disproportion more oftendelivered by caesarean section. Having a vaginal birth after cesareansection, non-repeating indications for cesarean delivery, moderate weightand cervical ripeness for labor are positive prognostic factors for delivervaginally. Successful vaginal birth after cesarean section is cheaper sinceit do not generate as much cost as cesarean delivery, stay in hospital isshorter and consumption of drugs is lower.
