The aim presented researches is remote evaluation functional results total hip replacement complicated periprosthetic ossification. Research questions: which sex, what degree, after which alloplastics are diagnosed? What influence have ossification on remote functional efficiency hip joint depending on sex, age, type implanted endoprosthesis?Material was used from Clinic of Traumatic Surgery and Orthopaedics 5th Military Clinical Hospital in Krakow (l42 patients (64 men,78 women, aged 44- 75).0bservation time is 1-6 years. For radiological evaluation was used Brooker's scale. Most ossification were noticed at patients after non-cement alloplastics (I,II0). Least ossification III,IV0. Verification of outcomes was done by comparison to control group with identical parameters. For evaluation obtained results were adopted criteria of Harris. Most ossification were noticed at patients after total non-cement alloplastics (I,II0). Very good and good results were obtained at patients with ossification I,II0, and sufficient and insufficient results related to ossification III, IV0. Most frequently appearing ossification are I,II0, at women after total non-cement alloplastics.Smallest handicap of functional efficiency hip joint by ossification I,II0 regardless of type implanted endoprosthesis, and greatest III,IV0, at men after revisory alloplastics.
