@misc{Łącki_Marcin_Evaluation_2007, author={Łącki, Marcin}, address={Kraków}, howpublished={online}, year={2007}, school={Wydział Lekarski}, language={pol}, abstract={The purposes of the study were to identify the species’ composition of Lactobacillus bacterium isolated from patients using a plate dental prosthesis, to identify the antagonistic proprieties of isolated Lactobacillus strains against Candida albicans strains based on in vitro studies and to indicate the reciprocal relationship between the appearance of Lactobacillus bacterium and the level of its antagonism against Candida albicans, and the formation of stomatopathies. The methodology used for clinical and microbiological research enabled the identification of a species’ composition of Lactobacillus bacterium: L. fermentum (32%), L. salivarius (15%), L. plantarum (12%),L. para paracasei (10%), L. rhamnosus (10%), L. brevis (7%), L. acidophilus (5%), L. cellobiosus (3%), L. delb. lactis (2%), L. salivarius therm (2%), L. lact. lact(2%). The antagonistic proprieties of all Lactobacillus strains were examined. The results of the research performed were analyzed and conclusions were drawn. No reciprocal relationship between the antagonistic proprieties of Lactobacillus strains and the formation of prosthetic stomatopathies was identified. The significant correlation between the appearance of L. plantarum strains and the lack of stomatopathy was identified. The risk of stomatopathy is higher by 30% in case of women using the prosthesis.}, title={Evaluation of the antagonistic proprieties of Lactobacilli strains against Candida albicans strains isolated from patients using complete dentures}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={antagonism, Lactobacillus, stomatopathies, Candida albicans}, }
