 abstract={My doctoral dissertation was written In the Institute of Public Heath, Collegium Medium at the Jagiellonian University. The title is "Security and data protection in the information system of health care". Enormous amount of data and information are being transformed in the information system of health care. A big part of these data are personal data and information about patients' health conditions - sensitive data and confidential data. All these data have to be secured in a right way from damage, lost and giving unauthorized receivers. The usage of computer techniques, electronic documents and teletransmission increased security and confidentiality of data. Existing solutions that have to secure data in health care system are absolutely inadequate and not enough for the amount of data transformed as well as technological development of our country. The aim of my PhD was: I. to analyse the security and confidentiality system of data accumulated in Polish health care sector.
