What type of insufficiency of humeral joint based on Constant-Murley score is most frequently recognized after proximal humeral fractures, in relation to sex, age, type of fracture and applied method of treatment? What are the most essential decisive about choice of way of operative treatment of proximal humeral fractures ? The study group included 72 patients, in this 34 men and 38 women with proximal humeral fractures. The non-operative, functional or operative method of treatment was performed. Functional outcome was evaluated on the basis of Constant-Murley score. Performed investigations permit on expression of following conclusions: The most frequent cause o proximal humeral fractures is fall on slippery surface, which most frequent causes four-part proximal humeral fracture on the basis of Neer classification. These fractures are more frequent in women. The most frequent recognized insufficiency of humeral joint on the basis of Constant-Murley score after proximal humeral fractures is moderate insufficiency. The most frequent insufficiency of humeral joint in men, especially after four-part f}, abstract={racture is moderate insufficiency. The most frequent insufficiency of humeral joint in women, especially after two- or three-part fracture with similar frequency in studied age groups is mild insufficiency. The most essential meaning in choosing adequate method of operative treatment is qualification of type of fracture and age of injured person.}, title={The remote evaluation of the functional results of treatment of proximal humeral fractures in relation to method of treatment}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={proximal humeral fracture, functional outcome}, }
