Consumption analysis showed that proper PPI prescribing accounts for 25-39 prescriptions and 53-69% of PPI prescriptions are off-label. The aim of the study is to analyze the patterns of use of PPI drugs and development based on it algorithms of conduct when dispensing drugs from the PPI or AH2 group at a pharmacy. The study includes an analysis of data related to the sale of PPI and AH2 drugs and surveys among patients in community pharmacy. In the survey analysis the reasons and indication for PPI usage, the dosing and duration of therapy were assessed. The analysis of pharmacy transactions were used to assess the combination therapy of PPI and other medications. The results of analysis showed that patient prolonged the duration of PPI therapy, >90% of patients declared the use of PPI for more than 6 months. More than 20% were unable to determine whether they have improved thanks to PPI, and more than 1/3 declared that the medication was previously prescribed by the physician. Pharmacy transaction analysis were based on more than 200 thousand records.
