We analyze chronotropic incompetence (CI, HRR) and heart rate variability (HVR) parameters and assess the relationship between them and exercise capacity and multiorgan complications. This research included 50 patients. The control group consisted of age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers. The clinical evaluation was performed by reviewing data from selected functional, imaging and laboratory tests. The arrhythmias and conduction disorders are a common complication among adults after FO: bradyarrhythmia was detected in 25 (50%), supraventricular tachyarrhythmias were noted in 14 patients (28%), ventricular arrhythmias were noticed in six patients (12%). Six patients (12%) required pacemaker implantation, and three (6%) required radiofrequency catheter ablation. Chronotropic incompetence was identified in 46 patients (92% ). CI and HRR were associated with impaired exercise capacity and mean platelet volume. The study revealed the significant diagnostic utility of HRR in detecting the abnormal value of 4 parameters: VENO2, ALP, AST/ALT i MPV. Patients after Fontan operation had significantly reduced HRV parameters which were associated with patients' age at the time of FO, time since surgery, single ventricle ejection fractio}, abstract={n, impaired exercise capacity, chronotropic incompetence parameters, and poor liver function. Early diagnosis of arrhythmia is essential. Patients should be treated with the use of modem methods, such as ablation, which is a safe and effective. HRR may be a sign of future bradyarrhythmia and indicate the need for regular follow-up in the case of cardiac pacing. The analysis of HRV parameters and their relationship with organ complications suggest novel pathophysiological mechanisms that link HRV, physical performance, and organ damage in patients after FO..}, title={The arrhythmias and conduction disorders in adults after Fontan operation}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={Fontan procedure, cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders, chronotropic incompetence, heart rate variability, physical performance}, }
