 abstract={The study concerns acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in children, particularly the role of risk factors and its influence on the treatment results, stratification to the risk groups, genetic evaluation, especially the genetic profiling and gene polymorphisms as the regulators of the processes responsible for the complications of the therapy. Following goals were achieved: the evaluation of the prognostic factors present at diagnosis on the treatment results in patients treated according consecutive treatment protocols, genetic profiling in children with unfavourable prognostic factors (referred for HSCT), the evaluation of late effects of treatment in survivors of childhood ALL.},
