The RAA vestibule is clinically important structures where right accessory pathways are predominantly distributed and thus may be used as targets for catheter ablation or as sites for device implantation during percutaneous right atrioventricular valve repairs. Invasive transcatheter procedures are challenging and requires a good knowledge of entire right atrium anatomy. Due to the lack of mentioned data the aims of this study were: 1) to present the detailed anatomy of the RAA vestibule and the paravalvular region; 2) to examining the presence, diameter and course of the coronary vessels within the RAA vestibule; 3) to describe the spatial position of the RAA vestibule and the right atrioventricular valve in relation to other anatomical points within the right atrium. In this study we collected and examined 200 autopsied adult human hearts. The hearts were collected during routine forensic medical autopsies. This study was the first to describe the detailed topographical anatomy of the RAA vestibule and its isthmuses. These data may be clinically relevant.
