The aim of this study was to evaluate the utility of markers: IGFBP-7, TIMP-2, transgelin-2 and monomer NGAL in MM, the influence of neoplasm on their concentrations and interactions between them. The follow-up data included serum creatinine, eGFR, the date and cause of death. Elevated serum and urine levels of these biomarkers were observed. The urine concentration of monomer NGAL, IGFBP-7 and serum concentration of transgelin-2 correlated with the decrease of eGFR and higher disease stage. They may be considered predicative of future chronic kidney disease. Majority of tubular biomarkers correlate with one another; however transgelin-2 seems to be an independent marker. The early measurement of these biomarkers in MM patients allows to predict the development of chronic kidney injury. The idea of creation of biomarkers panels seems to be superior in future development of their use.}, title={Novel markers of renal impairment in multiple myeloma patients}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={multiple myeloma, renal impairment, tubular markers of kidney injury}, }
