The aim of the thisis was to assess the impact of the work environment of nursing staff of internal medicine departments on patient satisfaction with nursing care. The following tools were used in the study: nurse professional satisfaction survey, BERNCA scale, New Castle care satisfaction scale and the original questionnaire. The average score on the "Superiors Support" scale is 2.85 points, so the respondents agreed that such a phenomenon occurs in their workplace. The mean score on the scale "Nurses participation in the decision-making process" was 2.59 points, so the respondents agreed that they receive support in the decision-making process. There were statistically significant differences (p˂0.05) between nurses working in the surveyed hospitals in terms of job satisfaction. Organization and working conditions in the internal medicine ward had a negative impact on the patients' satisfaction with nursing care.
