The study aimed to evaluate the immediate and long-term outcome of vertebral and carotid artery stenting with special regard to radial or brachial approach. On the basis of investigations series reported in the dissertation, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Both DES and BMS vertebral artery stenting can be performed with high technical success and a low periprocedural complication rate. 2. In the subgroups analysis paclitaxel DES as well as platinum-chromium BMS had the highest ISR/ISO rates. 3. Both in the BMS and the DES group ISR/ISO was associated with age and CRP level >5mg/l, while greater stent length was associated only in the DES group. 4. Transradial or transbrachial carotid and vertebral artery stenting may be effective and safe procedure, and it may constitute a viable alternative to the femoral approach.}, title={Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of supra-aortic vessels with particular emphasis on the radial approach}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={radial approach, carotid artery stenting, vertebral artery stenting}, }
