@misc{Kulig_Magdalena_Evaluation_2018, author={Kulig, Magdalena}, address={Kraków}, howpublished={online}, year={2018}, school={Wydział Farmaceutyczny}, language={pol}, abstract={The subject of the study of this doctoral thesis is an essential oil isolated from Citrus hystrix fruit peels and obtained by steam distillation. Three of its main components have also been included in studies on biological activities: D-limonene, p- pinene, terpinen-4-ol, as well as two mixtures of these compounds (of equal proportions and in those in which they are found in the tested oil). In the experimental part, a phytochemical analysis of the qualitative and quantitative composition of the essential oil was made, as well as the assessment of biological activities directed at various aspects of skin functioning. Four main areas of experience are planned in the project. The first of these includes in vitro studies in cultures of human skin cancer cells - melanoma of various origin and degree of malignancy, as well as analysis of the impact on normal human skin (keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts). The second part concerns studies on the effect on some enzymes functioning in the skin - tyrosinase and hyaluronidase. The third panel includes studies on the impact on selected processes associated with inflammation. The last, fourth area is the study of essential oil activity against microbial pathogens causing diseases including the skin and its appendages.}, title={Evaluation of antitumor and anti-infective activity of Citrus hystrix essential oil components}, type={Praca doktorska}, }
