On this basis: the efficacy of ultrasound-only methodology in detecting T13 was explored; the most common ultrasound patterns of markers and anomalies associated with PS were identified; the performance of a multi-parameter ultrasound protocol and traditional CST were compared. The effectiveness of the sonographic protocol used for T13 screening showed promising results in patients older than 36 years and suboptimal results in patients between 26 and 36 years old. The combined screening test was found to be more effective in detecting T13 than the ultrasound-only protocol. When first trimester screening for T13 is considered, left heart defects,CNS anomalies, abdominal anomalies, increased FHR above the 95th percentile, thickened NT above the 95th percentile, reversed a-wave in DV velocimetry, and delayed NB ossification should receive specific attention.}, title={Capabilities and limitations of late first-trimester screening for Trisomy 13}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={first trimester screening; first-trimester; combined screening test; patau syndrome; trisomy 13}, }
