Novel fluorescent dyes and methodology of compound labeling are important issues for the development of chemical and medical analytics and research on medicinal products. This doctoral dissertation aims to develop the methodology of fluorescent labeling of azidothymidine and other biologically relevant molecules within the click chemistry concept. This aim is achieved by the synthesis of novel fluorescent tags and their use in the copper-catalyzed(I) azide -alkynes cycloaddition (CuAAC) with azidothymidine and other model compounds. This task involved the design and synthesis of alkyne fluorescent dyes, followed by optimization of the labeling reaction. An important aspect of the obtained results is the analysis of the obtained products in terms of chemical structure and fluorescence. There remain a number of potential analytical applications of the obtained compounds and their use as research tools for understanding more advanced biological processes. The labeling methodology was developed within the click chemistry concept. Novel alkyne and azide fluorescent dyes were obtained and copper (I) catalyzed cycloaddition of azides and alkynes (CuAAC) was performed with azidothymidine and other biologically important}, abstract={molecules, including sugar derivatives and a prolipidomimetic.
