The paper refers to the ethical and axiological reinterpretation of health care by Aleksandrowicz as the implementation of medical care based on global prophylaxis, focused around balanced relationship of patient-doctor, human - organism, humanenvironment. It has been shown that medical thought was influenced by reflection on the environment, including the natural environment. Deliberations about the interactions man - environment paved the foundations of ecology, which in the 20th century began to play an increasingly important role in the field of natural and social sciences, becoming the basis for ecologism / environmentalism. Moreover, Julian Aleksandrowicz consciously used that tradition. According to Aleksandrowicz, it is necessary to return to the ethical intuition, to be open to art, including its use in the healing process, and maintain balanced relations between people and the environment. The method used by Aleksandrowicz of integrating various fields of knowledge, was to change the optics of medical sciences and release them from the neopositivism paradigm.
