This information obtained by systematic reviews in medical databases (PubMed, EmBase and Cochrane). Pragmatic clinical trials have been shown to be a valuable and reliable source of information, and several tools have been provided for assessment their quality, including the PRECIS-2. Critical evaluation of the questionnaires for quality assessment of observational studies was done. An own 19-point questionnaire for assessing the quality of non-randomized trials (SQAROS) was developed, in which attempts were made to answer the shortcomings of the found questionnaires. Using found/developed scales, a model evaluation of olanzapine compared to aripiprazole effect in patients with schizophrenia experiencing agitation was performed. All presented results indicate that due to the utility of PRECIS-2 and SQAROS (which requires further validation), the widespread use of such a tools is necessary for assessment of practical effectiveness.}, title={Effectiveness as a key element of health technology assessment reports : pragmatic clinical trials}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={pragmatic randomized controlled trials (pRCTs), health technology assessment (HTA), quality assessment, PRECIS-2, SQAROS}, }
