Diagnosis and treatment of bleeding disorders requires access to a specialized coagulation laboratory, clinical experience and multidisciplinary therapeuticapproach to address specific needs of this group of patients. This doctoral dissertation consists of 10 manuscripts, coherent in terms ofthe topic of bleeding disorders, that make contribution to better characteristics of the Polish population of patients with inherited bleeding diatheses, present diagnosis and treatment difficulties in selected bleeding disorders, the role of von Willebrand factor in haemostasis and the implication of its deficiency on individual bleeding risk as well as the clinical picture of fibrinogen deficiency.
