Matcrials and Methods We performed a retrospective analysis of medical documentation, including MRT dispatch request cards and medical emergency treatment cards from the years 2010 and 201 l. During the study period, 1082 recorded MRT interventions were related to cardiologic reasons, constituting 10,6% of all interventions. Results Median travel time to interventions for cardiologic reasons during the study period for both team types in municipal areas was agreeably with Act of Emergency Medicine. The majority (67,09%) of interventions undertaken for cardiologic concerns occurred in rura! areas. The majority of interventions concerned patients 61 years of age or older, particularly in women agcd 71-80 years (70%). The reasons for calling a MRT were varied, prevailing reasons included: chest pains (71,16%) and dyspnoea (36,51%). Conclusions The type of intcrventions undertaken and the finał result depended on the type of team dispatched. Some procedures and medications were used significantly more often by specialized teams. The cause for an emergency call provided by a person who called for help informed the decision about sending a specialized medical team by a dispatcher.
