 abstract={Purpose: to investigate the ulnar nerve variations in Guyon’s canal by: specifying the localization of the ulnar nerve division into superficial and deep branches, specifying the scheme of branching pattern variations, evaluating microscopically the ulnar nerve, and specifying the localization of the palmar cutaneous branch origin.Material and methods: the anatomic study was performed on wrists of 50 fresh trauma cadavers.Average results: Writs width- 5.61 cm. Metacarpus width- 7.92 cm. Metacarpus length- 8.06 cm. Guyon’s canal length- 2.23 cm. Distance between final division of ulnar nerve and proximal pisiform- 1.14 cm. Long axis of ulnar nerve- 4.32 mm. Short axis- 2.58 mm.Area of ulnar nerve transverse section- 8.34 mm2. Number of nerve fascicles- 17.Tree types of ulnar nerve division were recorded, four variants of hypothenar muscle branching pattern were observed, three variants of palmaris brevis muscular branch were evaluated.Presence of cutaneous branch originating from ulnar nerve in Guyon’s canal, communicating branch between branches of ulnar nerve, and between ulnar and median nerve were confirmed.},
