Nowadays, they are the most commonly diagnosed disease, as well as the most common cause of death in patients over 70 years old. Therefore, a significant increase of surgeries in elderly patients. Aim of the study 1. Evaluation of the safety of harvesting both internal mammary arteries and radial artery in CABG, in patients over 70 years old. 2. Analysis of the application of TAMR as an import ant risk factor of myocardium infarction and death in patients over 70 years old. 3. Evaluation of the incidence of non-cardiological complications in patiens over 70 years old undergoing TAMR Material and methodsIn the conducted study, retrospective analysis of two homogenous groups over 70 years old. Study group consisted of patients, who underwent TAMR. Control group was operated with usage of LIMA and saphenous vein. Results The infarct of myocardium was comparable in both groups – 5,94% in the study group and 5 % in the control group. Deaths were reported with similar frequency in both groups (1.98 % in the study group and 2 % in the control group). Moreover, no statistically significant differences were found for wound or sternum infection and need for sternal resuture. Conclusions Techinque of TAMR in coronary artery bypass grafting is a safe method in patients over 70 years old.
