 abstract={Patient safety is defined as absence of accidental injuries during the course of medical care and steps undertaken to avoid, prevent or correct adverse outcomes which may result from health care delivery. The study covers the identification, analysis and management of patient - related risks and incidents, in order to make patient care safer and reduce harm done patients in two polish hospitals - 1 st. University Hospital in Lublin and Regional Hospital in Maków Mazowiecki in 2004 - 2006. A part of this study is the analysis of patient safety problem in Polish health care system. The study shows the systems risks for patient safety and causes of adverse events.},
