 abstract={The aim of this study was to evaluate the early effects of surgical treatment using endoscopic methods in patients with CRS. 101 patients with CRS, 51 with coexisting nasal polyps were analysed. No statistically significant correlation was found between the age of patients, the coexistence of anatomical variations of structure of the lateral wall and septum of the nose and the coexistence of allergies, and the presence or absence of polyps in patients with CRS. There was however a higher incidence of asthma and AERD in patients with CRS with polyps. Greater advancement of local sinusitis based on CT images and frequent coexistence of bacterial infection in patients with CRS with polyps was confirmed. There was no statistically significant correlation between sinus CT image, and the intensity of subjective and objective signs of CRS. Early surgical outcome is highly satisfactory for both groups of patients, however, a greater subjective improvement in patients with CRS with polyps correlated with marked improvement observed in endoscopy. Bronchial asthma and bacterial infections reduce the effectiveness of endoscopic surgical treatment with post-operative conservative treatment and may play an important role in the pathogenesis of CRS with polyps, while the coexistence of allergy and NSAID do not have such a negative impact on the early effects of this method of treatment.},
