It causes not only disorders oflife functions but also negative emotions and spiritually- existential suffering. In short period of time radical changes conceming not only physical and mental but also social aspects of adolescent's life take place. That is why, factors with strong traumatic impact, active in that period of time, may shake structures of yang man's psyche. Negative emotional experiences seem to be responsible for inducing fear, anger or depression. Therefore, deepening studies on evaluation of mutual correlation between pain experience, emotional status and activity in that group of patients seem to gain importance. 82 adolescents with cancer and 42 patients with Juvenile ldiopatic Arthritis were included in the study. Our research shows that diagnostic and therapeutic procedures comprised for the main source of pain in both groups. Pain and symptoms like, fatigue or sleep disorders significanty weakened physical, intellectual and social activities of adolescents. Small percentage of participants suffered from fear and depression. Howewer, correlation betwen pain, fear and depression tumed out to be significant. Vast majority of participants were satisfied with their lives and felt their life was meaningful.
