The study attempts at specifying the phenotypes (typology) of growing up people who are prone to nutrition disorders (body weight deficit or excess) in connection with the own-body perception disorders and taking into account eating habits and selected socio-economic factors. The research was conducted in the years 2003-2006 among 1016 pupils, including 542 girls (53,3%) and 474 boys (46,7%). An anonymous questionnaire was used to evaluate the selected elements of lifestyle and socio-economic situation, as well as the choice of a figure out of pictures presenting 5 figures with different body weight in connection with sex. The youth's body weight and height were measured and the Body Mass Index was calculated. The results were juxtaposed with the polish centile charts and the International Obesity Task Force (IOTF). The research confirm that adolescent girls are a group especially prone to the irregular nutritional behaviour connected with the application of diets to loose weight, consequently it is advisable to aim at them educational programs as early as possible.
