The pathogenesis of this disease is stili unknown, making effective treatment and prevention impossible.Due to the fact that both fungi and archaea are an important component of the commensal microbiome, it is possible that a change in their number or composition may affect the occurrence of same diseases, including CD, which was the research hypothesis of this do,ctoral dissertation. The conducted research showed numerous changes in the composition of intestinal fungi and archaea among patients with CD. lmportantly, the optimization of sequencing for archaeome analysis contribute to comprehensive assessment of the composition of these microorganisms, which enabled the observation of novel, interesting relationships occurring in the archaeal population during the course of the CD. The conducted analyses made it possible to determine microorganisms characteristic of a given study group. lt seems that same microorganisms may constitute a specific non-invasive biomarker of the activity of Crohn's disease, which may be helpful in predicting the exacerbation or assessing the chronicity of this disease.}, title={Metagenomic analysis of intestinal archaeome and mycobiome in pediatric patients with Crohn's disease compared to healthy children}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={Crohn's disease, NGS, archaeome, mycobiome, gut micro biota, molecular microbiology}, }
