The collected strains were obtained :from women and men with uncomplicated gonorrheal infections m the Małopolska region between 2014-2021. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed following the EUCAST recommendations. MIC (mg/L) were determined for penicillin, cefixime, ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, azithromycin, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline, and spectinomycin. Molecular analyses made use of the PCR method, agarose gel electrophoresis, and Sanger sequencing. Plasmid resistance of N gonorrhoeae strains (BlaTEM type Africa, American and Dutch type tetM conjugative plasmids) was identified. The ability to form biofilm and adhesion to SiHa epithelia! cell lines were evaluated. Chemiluminescence assay was employed to measure the level of respiratory burst m DMSO-differentiated HL-60 cells upon stimulation with gonococci. Differences between strains isolated :from women and men in terms of phenotypic and genotypie traits were analyzed.}, title={Phenotypic and genotypie characterization of clinical strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae with consideration of selected virulence factors}, type={Praca doktorska}, keywords={N gonorrhoeae, diagnostic of gonorrhea, antimicrobial resistance, NG-MAST molecular typing}, }
