It is suspected that one of such factors is the short\-term impulse of the vertical reaction strength component occurring during walking, at the moment of a heel contact with the ground. This impulse is transferred, under the form of acceleration, from the heel, through the whole lower limb, spine, to the skull. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the values of short\-term acceleration impulse caused by heel contact with the ground during walking, measured at the level of knee joint, and the grade of advancement of radiological degenerative changes and pain complaints in patients suffering from osteoarthrosis of knee joint \(gonarthrosis\). The aim of the project was achieved based on the studies covering\:\- a group of 51 subjects of both genders \(41 women and 10 men\) with gonarthrosis, diagnosed based on criteria of the American College of Rheumatology \(ACR\),\- a control consisting of 30 subjects of both genders \(20 women and 10 men\) without the diagnosed knee joint arthrosis. Based on the interviews, anthropometric measurements \(including determination of BMI index\) and assessment of Xray scans of knee joints with gonarthrosis \(according to Kellgren\-Lawrence grading\), the following classification was made\:1. Both the group of patients with diagnosed gonarthrosis and the control group"]
