BaP is one of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons \(PAH\), which can act as carcinogenic substances also by prooxidative mechanism. There is well\-known one electron metabolic activation process of BaP, which can lead to origin several oxidant products. Hyperlipiedmia can grow more intense one electron processes and increase the level of metabolic activation of BaP. In the study the animal model was used. Male Wistar rats received 10 mg\/kg of BaP and 300 mg\/kg of Triton WR\-1339 as hyperlipidemia inductor for three consecutive days. Guaiacol was used as the reference substance. In erythrocytes significant decrease of tocopherols level was observed similarly for BaP and guaiacol. The effect of adaptation, increasing of activity of Cu,ZnSOD after the BaP exposition, was the reason of the lower susceptibility to lipid peroxidation of erythrocytes in vitro. This effect was not observed in hyperlipidemic rats."]
