The result of the research demonstrates improvement in functional status, that was expressed in an increase in ROM of the lumbar spine assessed with goniometry, “finger floor” test and Schober`s test. On examination prior to beginning the Rehabilitation programme, some of the patients presented with right and\/or left positive Straight Leg Raise \(SLR\) that was reduced \(increased pain\-free angle of SLR\) or absent when assessed immediately at the end of programme. The maximal and relative muscle torque was used to describe the strength of flexor and extensor muscles of the trunk during the isometric muscle contraction.
