Search for: [Abstract = "The paper presents the results of a study conducted in the years 2015\-2018, aimed at assessing the impact of psychosocial working conditions on self\-assessment of quality of life impacted by the health condition of nurses and midwives. The study included 150 nurses and midwives who are professionally active in Cracow. The study used a questionnaire containing questions concerning the sense of satisfaction with the current professional situation, the specifics of work, stress at work, playing specific roles, lifestyle and health assessment. The respondents’ socio\-demographic characteristics were also identified. When analysing the impact of the balance between effort and reward \(ERI\), the impact of professional satisfaction on the quality of life \(SF\-20\) of nurses and midwives, it was observed that a higher score on the professional satisfaction scale was associated with a higher quality of life \(p <0.05\). Higher education was associated with a higher quality of life of the respondents \(p<0.05\). A better self\-assessment of health compared to the health status three years back and no need to receive specialist treatment were also associated with a higher self\-assessment of quality of life \(p<0.05\).
