The aim of the study was to create and analyze the hybrid system carbon nanotube \- Congo red, which was not already studied. The high capacity system that provides possibility of simultaneous binding of many drugs was constructed. It binds to the cell surface and allows for a controlled release of drugs, providing a sustained local action. The proposed system is composed of single wall carbon nanotubes covered with Congo red. Nanotubes are formed from a rolled layer of graphene providing a large surface area for binding drugs with planar, aromatic structure. CR is a compound which shows the ability to associate into supramolecular ribbon\-like structures and can bind different drugs by intercalation. The study revealed the presence of strong interactions between CR and the surface of SWNT. The aim of the study was to explain the mechanism of this interaction. The results show that the analyzed complex satisfied the basic requirements necessary for its potential use as a drug carrier through reducing side effects and enhancing their pharmacological effectiveness."]
