Search for: [Abstract = "The aim of this study was to evaluate health\-related quality of life in patients with coronary artery disease, aged 80 and over. The sample for this analysis included 150 patients aged 80 and over with coronary artery disease, who were hospitalized at the Department of Internal Diseases and Gerontology, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Krakow. The questionnaire used in this research consisted of\: a standard set of socio\-demographic questions, CCS classification, EASY\-Care questionnaire, EuroQol\-5D and MNA questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics and concentrated on nonparametric tests, linear models and logistic regression. The level of significance in all tests was p < 0.05. Coronary artery disease had a strong impact on health related quality of life conditioned by health across genders in patients aged 80 and over. W omen reported poorer health\-related quality of life than men. Subjective health status was strongly associated with perceived quality of life. Moreover, health\-related quality of life was significantly influenced by general health perceptions when compared with general health among other people of the same age.
