The data for32 patients was analyzed prospectively, and 62 patients underwent retrospective analysis. A 10% reduction in the ejection fraction was found for 13 out of 29 patients from prospective group and for 20 out of 62 patients from the retrospective group. Serious cardiac events were noticed in10 out of 29 patients analyzed prospectively and 13 out of 62 patients analyzed retrospectively. Significantly higher incidence of mortality independently of the direct cause was found in patients with an ejection fraction of 55% prior to chemotherapy, and an early reduction in ejection fraction after 2\-4 administrations of doxorubicin to a value of 55% compared to patients with an ejection fraction > 55%.The left ventricle relaxation was abnormal for 11 out of 31 patients in the prospective group and for 9 out of 39 patients in the retrospective group. The diastolic dysfunction was more frequent in the patients with serum troponin T concentration > 0.025ng\/ml and in the patients with high serum NT\-proBNP concentration after the first doxorubicin treatment. Decreased PFR during the exercise test in GSPECT assessment was detected in the prospectively analyzed group of patients after chemotherapy. Decreased PFR was seen in 9 out of 12 patients when GSPECT was investigated."]
