Numerous scientific evidence shows that caesarean section has an adverse effect on newbom birth parameters and postpartum course compared to vaginal delivery. The negative impact of caesarean section on the newbom is mainly related to altered adaptation of the respiratory and circulatory systems to life outside the uterus. Newboms without perinatal stress are characterized by a higher percentage of adaptive complications, which can result in a more frequent need to stay in the intensive care unit, a greater risk of implementing various invasive procedures, and a longer period of total hospitalization.
