This doctoral dissertation consists of 10 manuscripts, coherent in terms ofthe topic of bleeding disorders, that make contribution to better characteristics of the Polish population of patients with inherited bleeding diatheses, present diagnosis and treatment difficulties in selected bleeding disorders, the role of von Willebrand factor in haemostasis and the implication of its deficiency on individual bleeding risk as well as the clinical picture of fibrinogen deficiency. They also include recommendations and summarize the state of the art of management of von Willebrand disease, acquired haemophilia and current replacement therapy of haemophilia."]
