To test the hypothesis, experimental and clinical projects were performed. In the experimental study, plasma levels of IL\-4\; IL\-6\; IL\-10\; TNF\-α\; FGF\-2\; GM\-CSF\; PDGF\-BB\; TGF\-β1\; TGF\-β2 and TGF\-β3 were measured in mice treated with Integra® in compare to controls. In the clinical project, plasma levels of EGF, TGF\-β1, FGF\-2, VEGF, IFN\-α, GM\-CSF, IL\-4, IL\-8, MMP\-2, MMP\-9 and hsCRP were measured in 15 pediatric patients treated with Integra® for reconstructive procedures in 4 time points.
