Two behavioral tests were employed\: Porsolt’s test in mice and rats, elevated plus maze, and two methods of radioreceptor binding\: inhibition and saturation. RESULTS\: Chromium III exhibits antidepressant\-like effect in a dose\-dependent manner. The AMPA, β and D1 receptor signaling is necessary for this activity.
