There is a lack of clear consensus concerning optimal management strategy and methods of therapy. OBJECTIVES\: The aim of the study was to compare the effects of CTO treatment in patients after successful PCI CTO, and in patients pharmacological treatment. METHODS\: 60 patients with stable coronary artery disease and angiographically diagnosed CTO were included to prospective registry and assigned to two groups. Group I \- patients after successful PCI CTO, group II \- patients with pharmacological treatment and after an unsuccessful PCI CTO. Follow\-up at 1 and 6 month included in all patients\: severity of angina \(CCS class\), angina\-related quality of life \(visual analogue scale\), cardiac function \(echocardiography\), and exercise tolerance and ischemia evaluation \(ECG exercise test\).RESULTS\: In group I during the 6 month follow\-up statistically significant increase in LVEF was observed. After 6 months 100% of patients in group I were in CCS class I. In group I the ECG exercise test performed after 6 month showed statistically significant clinical improvement \(100% were clinically negative\), in group II prolongation of time to onset of pain in the chest was found. In the group I there is significant improvement of the quality of life . CONCLUSION"]
