In study participants transthoracic echocardiography \(TTE\) and assessment of concentration of thrombin\-antithrombin III complex, tissue factor, fibrinogen, soluble P\-selectin, platelet factor\-4, C\-reactive protein in venous blood were performed.Differences in activity of hemostasis were seen between study groups. Correlations of some TTE parameters of left atrium and left ventricle with analyzed markers of hemostasis and inflammation were observed. These associations between parameters were stronger especially in subgroups with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction or with enlarged left atrium.Levels of activity of hemostasis are different in study groups. Some echocardiographic parameters are correlated with hemostatic markers, so it can be concluded that morphology and function of heart chambers have importance for level of activity of prothrombotic state and also inflammatory processes, especially in persons with diastolic dysfunction."]
