All patients in both groups were evaluated at three times\: baseline, after 3 and 6 months. BASDAI \(Bath AS Functional Index\), BASFI \(Bath AS Functional Index\) and self\-service questionnaire at home and abroad were used to assess the clinical condition of the patients. Otto test, Schöber test, finger\-floor test, chest extension test were used to assess global spine mobility. Mennell test and Patrick test were used for assessment of hip and sacroiliac joints function.Results\: Six months after the treatment, mean BASDAI index of the MTX group was 5.46 ± 1.16 and it appeared significantly \(p<0,001\) higher than that of group with anti\-cytokine therapy \(x=4.10 ± 0.42\). During follow up, BASFI was significantly \(p=0.012\) higher in the MTX group \(x=4.9 ± 0.1\) than in the anti\-cytokine therapy group \(x=3.3 ± 0.3\) after 6 months of treatment. The improvement in thoracic spine mobility measured after six months of treatment was more visible in the group of patients subjected to anti\-cytokine therapy \(p<0.0001\) as compared to the group receiving MTX treatment \(p=0.0311\). Conclusion\: It could be concluded that anti\-cytokine therap"]
